Case against Judaism - Jesus is the Messiah

By the grace of God and the light of His Word, I shall expound upon the manifold theological errors whereby the Jews, in their stubborn blindness, pervert the Holy Scriptures. These are not mere opinions of men, but truths drawn from the sacred texts themselves, illuminated by the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Hearken unto me, for the Scriptures are clear to those with eyes of faith, yet veiled to the unbelieving.
First, the Jews err grievously in denying that Jesus of Nazareth is the promised Messiah, the fulfillment of all prophecies. The Old Testament abounds with foreshadows of Christ: in Genesis, He is the seed of the woman who crushes the serpent's head; in Isaiah, the suffering Servant who bears our sins; in Daniel, the Son of Man coming with the clouds; in Micah, born in Bethlehem; in Zechariah, pierced for our transgressions. Yet the Jews, hardened in heart as Pharaoh of old, twist these words to earthly kings or vague hopes, ignoring the plain testimony that Christ has come. As the Apostle Paul writ in Romans 10:2-3, they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge, seeking to establish their own righteousness and submitting not to the righteousness of God.
Second, they cling to the letter of the Law, pursuing justification by works rather than by faith alone. The Scriptures teach that no man is justified by the deeds of the Law, for all have sinned and fall short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). Abraham was justified by faith before circumcision (Romans 4), and the prophets decry mere outward obedience without a circumcised heart (Jeremiah 4:4). But the Jews, ensnared by their rabbis' traditions, burden themselves with ceremonies—Sabbaths, feasts, sacrifices—as if these could atone for sin. Nay, these were but shadows pointing to Christ, the true Lamb of God (Hebrews 10:1-4). Their interpretation reduces the Law to a yoke of bondage, ignoring that it was given to reveal sin and drive us to the Savior.
Third, they exalt the fables and glosses of their Talmud and rabbis above the pure Word of God, corrupting Scripture with human inventions. The prophets warn against adding to or taking from God's commands (Deuteronomy 4:2), yet the Jews heap up traditions—endless rules on washing, tithing mint and cumin—while neglecting justice, mercy, and faith (as Christ Himself rebuked in Matthew 23:23). Their rabbis, like the Pharisees of old, make void the Word of God through their traditions (Mark 7:13). Thus, they read Moses through a veil, as Paul says in 2 Corinthians 3:14-15, which veil is removed only in Christ.
Fourth, they misapprehend the nature of the covenant, supposing it eternal in its carnal form for the fleshly seed of Abraham alone. But the promise was to Abraham and his seed, which is Christ (Galatians 3:16), and the true Israel is not of blood but of faith (Romans 9:6-8). The Jews dream of a restored earthly kingdom, rebuilding the Temple and resuming sacrifices, yet Jeremiah 31 foretells a new covenant, written on the heart, not on stone. Their rejection of Christ has brought upon them the curse of the Law (Deuteronomy 28), scattering them among nations as prophesied, until they turn to Him whom they pierced (Zechariah 12:10).
Fifth, they pervert the Psalms and Prophets by applying them to David or other figures, rather than to the Messianic King. Psalm 2 speaks of the Son begotten of God, kissed in reverence; Psalm 22 of the one whose hands and feet are pierced, lots cast for His garments—fulfilled in Christ's crucifixion. Isaiah 53 describes not Israel collectively, as some Jews falsely claim, but the innocent Servant who is wounded for our transgressions. Their blindness stems from divine judgment, as Isaiah 6:9-10 declares: "Seeing they see not, hearing they hear not," a hardening that persists until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in (Romans 11:25).
Sixth, they ignore the unity of Scripture, severing the Old from the New Testament, as if God has two peoples or two salvations. But there is one olive tree (Romans 11), one faith from Abel to the apostles, and the Gospel was preached beforehand to Abraham (Galatians 3:8). The Jews, in their pride, claim exclusive sonship, yet John the Baptist warned: God can raise up children to Abraham from stones (Matthew 3:9).
Finally, their interpretation springs from a spirit of unbelief, influenced by the devil, who from the beginning has sought to obscure Christ. As our Lord said to them: "Ye are of your father the devil" (John 8:44), for they reject the truth. Only by the Holy Spirit can one confess Jesus as Lord (1 Corinthians 12:3), and without Him, the Scriptures remain a sealed book.
These errors, my friend, are not light matters but damnable heresies that lead souls astray. I beseech thee, turn not to Jewish fables but to Christ, the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone that believeth (Romans 10:4). If any Jew should repent and embrace the Gospel, I would welcome him as a brother. But woe to those who persist in darkness! May God grant thee understanding in these things.
